Alcohol and work don't mix
Just thought I would give some advice. If you are organising a work function (dinner), than keep pre dinner drinks to no more than 1/2 an hour. Ours was a little kaotic and lets just say that on entering the third hour of pre dinner drinks, some colleagues got out of control. In a company like ours it was so not the right thing to do. Too much alcohol and not enough food spells certain disaster.

Re: Alcohol and work don't mix
I know what you mean. This is a little different in that I was at a work social event and the plans were to go to a theme park, which our company hired out. So after work most of us who don't live in town went to a pub for drinks prior to catching the bus. There was a couple of hours to kill. I had a couple of drinks as did some of the others and then preceded to the theme park. Drinking before attending a theme park is a bad move, most of us got sick after the event. I had the worst headache and struggled to drive home that night. ![]()

Too much alcohol at a corporate party definately does not mix. Especially if you say things you shouln't and than post coments on facebook in a drunken haze that your boss has access to. This has happened to a friend of mine- not good
