I know what you mean.  This is a little different in that I was at a work social event and the plans were to go to a theme park, which our company hired out.  So after work most of us who don't live in town went to a pub for drinks prior to catching the bus.  There was a couple of hours to kill.  I had a couple of drinks as did some of the others and then preceded to the theme park.  Drinking before attending a theme park is a bad move, most of us got sick after the event.   I had the worst headache and struggled to drive home that night.
