The Press Club Restaurant and Bar

Thank you for your interest in The Press Club, one of Melbourne’s most exciting establishments devoted to innovative dining with a distinctively Greek twist.

Executive chef George Calombaris is offering Melburnians and visitors the chance to sample his inspired and sometimes curious creations. With its fringe location on the corners of Flinders and Exhibition Streets, The Press Club is perfectly situated to complement the cultural and sporting events Melbourne is famous for.

Located on the ground floor of the old Herald and Weekly Times building, award winning design group Buro Architects have created a warm yet indulgent interior. Influenced equally by the buildings’ long history and that of Greek culture, The Press Club consists of three individual but stylistically connected areas.

The stylish Press Club Restaurant can be used for a variety of purposes. It can comfortably accommodate up to 100 seated guests or a maximum of 220 people for a stand up cocktail function. Our extensive Australian and International wine list can be tailored to create individual beverage packages to suit the most experienced of palates.

The Private Dining Room offers a completely intimate and indulgent experience. With personal waiters and individually created menus, it offers a perfect space for groups of up to 14 people and is equally suited to business presentations and private discussions, as well as personal small celebrations.

The Press Club Bar offers an ideal space for private cocktail parties for up to 80 guests. With our broad wine and cocktail lists, international beers, canapés, mezedes, and a passion for Greek wines and spirits, the long, spacious bar and comfortable lounge’s ensures that this bar will always make a stunning impression.
